Smurfit Westrock plc is seeking a production operator to fold and pack pharmaceutical cartons in a fast-paced packaging environment. You will be trained to set up folding machines, manage quality, and meet output targets.

The role requires basic numeracy and literacy, and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team. You will follow hygiene and safety standards and contribute to 5S housekeeping throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Good basic numeracy and literacy.
• Basic PC knowledge.
• Ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
• Maintain hygiene and procedural standards.

Responsabilités

• Understand and interpret the job bag (virtual work ticket).
• Set and run folding machine to meet quality and volume targets with minimal waste.
• Learn to set up complex cartons (4 corner, crash lock base, internal fitments, double wall).
• Learn leafink insertion machine setup and tag applicator.
• Understand HHS gluing systems.
• Produce labels for packing trays and boxes.
• Operate counting machinery.
• Keep the work area clean and tidy following 5S procedures.
• Follow current procedures and quality policies.
• Carry out general and routine maintenance of folding machines and equipment.
• Take charge of day to day running of the machine (Crew Management).
• Provide acting support for Second Minder and Finishing Assistant ensuring training.
• Ensure machine is left in good condition at end of shift.
