Job summary

Smurfit Westrock Belfast is seeking a Production Operative / Gluing Assistant for its Newtownabbey site. Join a fast-paced pharmaceutical packaging finishing crew, feeding, gluing, inspecting, and packing cartons to exact customer specifications.

Full training provided, with strong emphasis on quality, accuracy, and teamwork. You will support the finishing line, work with the Machine Operator, and contribute to a high-standard production process while adhering to health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Ownership of output and product quality is expected.
• Quality focus is essential for finishing processes.
• Teamwork and communication are important in a finishing crew.

Responsibilities

• Production & Quality work as part of a crew on the Finishing production line, reporting to and supporting the Machine Operator
• Feed cartons into the gluing machine in line with standard operating procedures
• Quality check cartons whilst feeding into the gluing machine
• Quality check glued cartons as they exit the gluing line
• Pack finished products into the correct corrugates in line with customer specifications
• Comply with sampling processes as per customer requirements
• Rotate duties across the finishing department as required
• Work in accordance with company procedures to comply with Health & Safety requirements
