Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is recruiting for a Business Development Manager in the Feltham area to help expand its pharmaceutical logistics client base across the UK. You will identify and win new business opportunities, build relationships with senior decision-makers, and promote temperature-controlled, GDP-compliant logistics solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development or sales within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors.
• A background in freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain solutions.
• An established network of pharmaceutical or healthcare contacts.
• A good understanding of pharmaceutical terminology, cold chain logistics and temperature management.
• Knowledge of GDP principles and regulatory compliance.
• A successful track record of winning new business and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills and relationship-building abilities.
• Confidence presenting commercial proposals and engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Experience using CRM systems and analysing sales data.
• A proactive, target-driven approach with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and securing new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
• Building and developing relationships with key decision-makers, including senior management and quality teams.
• Developing sales strategies to win new customers and grow existing accounts.
• Promoting specialist pharmaceutical logistics solutions, including temperature-controlled and cold chain services.
• Managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to negotiation and securing new business.
• Achieving and exceeding sales targets for revenue and gross profit.
• Working closely with operations, marketing and telesales teams to maximise commercial opportunities.
• Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and recording activity through the CRM system.
• Attending industry exhibitions and events to generate leads and build relationships.
• Ensuring sales activities meet relevant regulatory, compliance and GDP requirements.
