Job summary

Mitie Group plc. in Macclesfield seeks an LEV Engineer for a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will inspect, test, maintain, and assure performance of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems to ensure compliance, safety, and audit readiness.

The role focuses on THorough Examination & Test (TExT) per COSHH and HSG258, supporting risk assessments and RAMS, and maintaining detailed records in CAFM/CMMS.

Essential: BOHS P601 and an engineering qualification; GMP/GxP exposure is desirable.

Qualifications

• BOHS P601 certificate is essential for the role.
• Engineering qualification in Mechanical/HVAC or equivalent is required.
• Desirable: GMP/GxP exposure and related containment knowledge.
• Ability to support RAMS and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out THOROUGH Examination & Test (TExT) of LEV systems per COSHH and HSG258.
• Maintain and test LEV systems including fume cupboards, laminar flow cabinets, and containment systems.
• Ensure COSHH, HSE and GMP/GxP compliance; keep audit-ready records in CAFM/CMMS.
