Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment.
• Provide professional LEV system performance advice to customers.
• Travel across Northamptonshire and the Midlands; occasional overnight stays.

LEV Test Engineer
Location: Northampton (covering Northamptonshire and the Midlands)
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum + Company Vehicle + Benefits

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) Test Engineer to join our growing environmental compliance team based in Northampton. This field-based role involves travelling across the local area and the Midlands to inspect, test, and certify LEV systems at a wide range of customer sites.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with LEV experience or a mechanically minded professional looking to develop a career within occupational hygiene and compliance.

Key Responsibilities as an LEV Test Engineer

• Conduct thorough LEV examinations and testing in accordance with HSG258 and COSHH regulations
• Inspect extraction systems, dust and fume control equipment, and ventilation systems
• Produce accurate test reports and certification for clients
• Identify faults and recommend corrective actions where required
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment
• Provide professional advice to customers on LEV system performance and compliance
• Travel throughout Northamptonshire and the Midlands, with occasional overnight stays when required
• Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times

Requirements as an LEV Test Engineer

• Previous experience testing or servicing LEV systems is desirable
• BOHS P601 qualification preferred, although training may be provided
• Mechanical or electrical engineering background
• Good understanding of COSHH and HSG258 guidance
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
