Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Laboratory Cleaner for an early-morning shift at Boole Technology Centre. You will maintain a highly controlled cleanroom environment in a pharmaceutical setting, following COSHH and GMP procedures, including gowning validation.

Training is provided, with opportunities to gain specialist cleanroom experience. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety rules and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Right to Work in the UK and readiness to undergo a DBS check.
• Previous professional cleaning experience in controlled environments such as healthcare or pharma.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed procedures.
• Experience working to strict quality, hygiene or compliance standards.
• Understanding the importance of contamination control and cleanliness.
• Good communication and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Safety-focused, reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to complete paperwork and compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning and sanitation in cleanroom and laboratory environments per site procedures.
• Follow contamination control protocols to maintain sterile conditions.
• Clean floors, walls, production areas and equipment surfaces using approved methods.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in line with COSHH and site rules.
• Document cleaning activities accurately and promptly.
• Perform gowning procedures and participate in validation assessments.
• Report hygiene, contamination, equipment or safety concerns to supervision.
• Adhere to GMP, health and safety requirements and ongoing training.
