Job summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions in Morpeth is hiring a Pharm Process Operator on a 12-month fixed-term contract to manufacture solid oral dose products. You will be fully competent in start-up, cleaning and operation procedures within a GMP pharmaceutical plant.

The role covers dispensing ingredients, granulation, compression on high-speed equipment, and routine checks. You will maintain data integrity, complete paperwork, and support continuous improvement and buddy training.

Qualifications

• Technical experience in FMCG or GMP operating environment.
• Proficient in reading and following SOPs and batch records.
• Basic literacy and mathematics skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture solid oral dose products per approved procedures.
• Dispense active and non-active ingredients per procedures.
• Granulating using wet/dry granulation and roller compaction.
• Compress formulations on high-speed rotary press.
• Perform equipment checks and routine maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Complete paperwork and data entry in line with data integrity and cGMP.
• Support continuous improvement and buddy training.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: Technical experience in an FMCG or GMP operating environment would be beneficial Basic literacy and mathematics skills required•Manufacturing a wide variety of Pharmaceutical products according to approved procedures and SOP’s•Dispensing of active and non-active ingredients in accordance with the approved manufacturing procedures•Granulating products utilising techniques such as wet granulation, dry granulation, and roller compaction•Compression of formulated products utilising high speed rotary compression machines•Carrying out equipment checks and minor maintenance work to minimise down time e.g., checking oil levels, wear on parts, changing filters etc.•Clean equipment and areas following established procedures•Investigate and report problems on equipment or processes utilising established problem-solving techniques such as 5 Why’s.•Completes all associated paperwork, logbooks and computer data entry in accordance with data integrity principles and cGMP.•Utilise improvement techniques to support a continuous improvement culture in order to drive performance improvement•Supports SFT & CANDO deployment•Supports learning and development by providing buddy training and assessment where applicable.
