Job summary

Tetra Tech is a leading global consultancy, seeking a Technical Director or Associate Director to drive PFAS and emerging contaminants across Europe. You will shape strategy, lead technical delivery, and grow our client base while advancing regulatory understanding and best practices.

This senior role requires strategic leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to influence clients and stakeholders at high levels across multiple sectors and geographies.

Qualifications

• Significant PFAS and emerging contaminants experience.
• Strong site characterization, conceptual modelling, risk assessment and remediation skills.
• Proven ability to lead complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Proven client engagement and opportunity conversion.
• Experience working with regulators and industry stakeholders.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop technical teams.
• Chartered status or progress towards chartership is desirable.
• Postgraduate qualification in related geoscience fields is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead PFAS strategy development and market growth across Europe.
• Provide senior technical leadership and quality assurance for projects.
• Develop robust site models and risk-based remediation approaches.
• Mentor technical staff and promote knowledge transfer.
• Engage clients, regulators and stakeholders to grow opportunities.
• Collaborate with global PFAS leadership to align European delivery.
