Job summary

Blue Cross is recruiting a Rehabilitation Trainer & Behaviour Advisor in Hertfordshire. The role involves implementing rehabilitation programmes, advising teams and pet owners, and applying reward-based training across on-site, fostered, or post-adoption pets.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, knowledge of animal behaviour, and be comfortable collaborating with colleagues to improve pet welfare. The position is full-time, with some travel and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience of pet behaviour and training techniques with proven results.
• Ability to develop and deliver behaviour and training programmes for dogs across breeds.
• Develop training plans for owners/caregivers that are practical and realistic.

Responsibilities

• Implement rehabilitation programmes under supervision of an Animal Behaviourist.
• Advise and coach centre teams and pet owners on behaviour issues.
• Work with pets on site, in foster, or post adoption; collaborate with Blue Cross colleagues.
