Job summary

Reading Vets for Pets is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join a friendly, patient-focused team in Reading. The role is part-time, 25 hours across three shifts (two 9.5-hour shifts and one 5-hour shift) with one in four Saturdays (9am–6pm).

Previous customer-facing experience is essential, with strong computer skills and a welcoming, professional demeanor. You will greet clients, manage payments, and book appointments, ensuring every visit starts positively and runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding service to clients and care for their pets, acting as a link between clients and the clinical team.
• Build strong relationships with clients, pets and colleagues.
• Greet clients and provide guidance with a calm and friendly manner.
• Manage payments and confidently book future appointments.
• Coordinate day-to-day running using the online booking system.
