Job summary

City Facilities Management is seeking a Pest Prevention Technician to provide comprehensive pest control services to ASDA stores and related sites. The role requires visiting stores, depots and living sites as per the contract specification, performing inspections, and maintaining safety and hygiene standards.

You will manage scheduled pest control visits, report findings daily, and work with CITY and ASDA teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• BPCA / RPSH Level 2 qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prevent and/or control pest infestation at allocated ASDA Stores and Distribution centres.
• Carry out scheduled planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits for pest control.
• Respond promptly to genuine emergency call outs from the ASDA Helpdesk.
• Complete reports and communicate daily with store colleagues and line manager.
• Build good working relationships with ASDA and CITY work colleagues.
• Take ownership of other pest related issues, e.g. cleaning/proofing, to resolve problems.
• Carry out on-site training with ASDA/CITY colleagues.
• Use pesticides safely and in compliance with health and safety rules.
• Maintain accurate timesheets and mileage logs as required.

Job Title: Pest Prevention Technician

Location: Belfast/ Cookstown

Hours : 40 per week

Salary: £31,505.39 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Shift Pattern: Core hours 8am to 5pm

Job Purpose

The Pest Prevention Technician is to provide complete pest control services (including proofing) to Asda to control all pest species covered under our contract and, by thorough inspection, identify any environmental conditions conducive to any pest activity whether covered by the contract or not.

This requires visiting stores, supermarkets, depotsand living sites at the agreed intervals governed by the Specification Service Delivery and carrying out a detailed inspection in a safe and professional manner with due regard to Health and Safety and Hygiene rules.

Key Accountabilities

• Prevent and/or control pest infestation at allocated ASDA Stores and Distribution centres.
• Carry out scheduled Number of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits for pest control.
• Respond promptly to genuine emergency call outs from the ASDA Helpdesk.
• Complete reports and communicate on a daily basis with store colleagues and line manager.
• Build good working relationships with ASDA and CITY work Colleagues.
• Take “ownership” of other pest related issues, i.e. cleaning/proofing, to resolve ongoing problems.
• Carry out any on site training with ASDA/CITY colleagues.
• Use pesticides in a safe and responsible manner as specified under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health
• To maintain accurate Time Sheets and Mileage Logs as required.
