Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services at the Pladis (McVitie's) site in Carlisle is seeking a Pest Hygiene Support Operative to join the team. This role covers hygiene and pest control across the facility to maintain cleanliness and compliance.

The position is permanent, full-time (39 hours) with a starting rate of £12.71 per hour. Shift pattern is Sunday to Wednesday at Pladis, Carlisle, Cumbria. Full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous hygiene, pest control, or food manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support pest control inspections and corrective actions.
• Carry out cleaning and hygiene tasks in production and non-production areas.
• Assist with pest-proofing activities and environmental housekeeping.
• Report pest-related findings and hygiene concerns.
• Complete documentation accurately and in line with site procedures.
• Work safely and follow all food safety and health & safety requirements.
