Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Pest Hygiene Support Operative for the Pladis (McVitie's) site in Carlisle. The role covers hygiene and pest control across the facility to uphold cleanliness, food safety and compliance.

Salary is £12.71 per hour for a 39-hour week, with a Sunday to Wednesday shift pattern. The position is permanent and full-time, based at Pladis, Carlisle, Cumbria. Training will be provided to support pest control inspections and hygiene tasks across production and non-production

Qualifications

• Experience in hygiene, pest control, or food manufacturing is desirable but not essential.
• Full training will be provided.
• Able to work Sundays to Wednesdays.

Responsibilities

• Support pest control inspections and corrective actions.
• Carry out cleaning and hygiene tasks in production and non-production areas.
• Assist with pest-proofing activities and environmental housekeeping.
• Report pest-related findings and hygiene concerns.
• Complete documentation accurately and in line with site procedures.
• Work safely and follow all food safety and health & safety requirements.
