Job description

Are you looking for an opportunity to join a family run business, which has been established for over 15 years and boasts an impressive list of commercial clients, including football clubs, high-end restaurants, hotel groups, and the education sector. Due to business growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pest Control Technician to join their team.

Tasks

Reporting into the Service Manager, the role will include:

1. Inspecting customer premises thoroughly for signs of pest infestation.
2. Determining the full extent of the infestation, all pest harbourages, and potential access points.
3. Using appropriate pest control methods to prevent further issues.
4. Cleaning, servicing, and replacing (when due) electronic fly killing units and flying insect control systems on maintenance contracts.
5. Carrying out treatments for pests as listed on the job card, and maintaining communication with customers.

Requirements

• RSPH Level 2 or BPCA Part 2 (or equivalent).
• Self-motivated, reliable, and professional.
• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a pest control technician.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully to ensure safety.
• Ability to pass a DBS check and hold a clean driver’s licence.

Benefits

• Salary: £30,000 to £36,000 (depending on experience).
• Start Date: ASAP.
• Location: Greater London and the Home Counties (excluding Central London).
• Hours: 40 hours/week, flexible between 8am-5pm.
• Additional benefits include 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, equipment and uniform provision, company van with fuel card, commission on product sales, and overtime opportunities.
