Job summary

Omega is seeking an experienced Mobile Pest Control Technician to join our team, focusing on supermarket contracts across stores, depots and office sites. You will inspect on-site, communicate observations, and maintain Health and Safety standards while delivering effective pest control solutions.

Role offers a 40–45 hour week with salary (£33,982.49–£37,565.78) including on-call 1:4, travel time paid after 30 minutes each way, and a company pension (matched up to 5%).

Qualifications

• Experience in pest control environment.
• Retail, leisure or FM sector experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of all pest-related issues (infestations/cleaning/proofing) to resolve ongoing problems.
• Respond promptly to genuine emergency call outs from the Helpdesk.
• Formulate detailed reports on stores and escalate issues to stakeholders.
• Identify non-repairable faults in plant/machinery and advise the Area Manager with replacements.
• Prioritise recommendations to stores to meet timescales and defend against pest activity.
• Carry out proofing works and installations within technical competence per current specs.
• Advise the SM of pest activity and potential impact on store operations.
• Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy and use pesticides safely as instructed.

Education

Royal Society of Health Cert in Pest Control or British Pest Control Association Diploma's Part 1 and 2.

Full driving license

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Mobile Pest Control Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role will require visiting stores, food halls, outlets, depots & also office sites at agreed intervals governed by the specification service delivery and carrying out a detailed inspection in a safe and professional manner with due regard to Health and Safety and Hygiene regulations. This would involve providing an effective service to our clients site to effectively communicate observations verbally as well as in writing via the reports.

• Take ownership of all pest related issues, i.e. infestations/cleaning/proofing, to resolve ongoing problems.
• Respond promptly to genuine emergency call outs from the Helpdesk.
• Formulate detailed reports on stores, escalating issues to all relevant stakeholders.
• To identify infestation non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Area Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
• To prioritise detailed recommendations to stores and to achieve agreed timescales and response times to proactively defend against Pest activity.
• To carry out proofing works and installations within the individual's technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
• To advise and document to the SM of any pest activity and how this may be detrimental to the smooth running of the store.
• To always comply with the company Health and Safety Policy.
• Use pesticides in a safe and responsible manner as specified under the Control of Substances

Qualifications & Experience – Pest Control Technician

• Royal Society of Health Cert in Pest Control or British Pest Control Association Diploma's Part 1 and 2.
• Full driving license.
• Experience with Pest control environment.
• Experience in retail, leisure or FM sector is desirable.
