Job summary

4Recruitment Services in Barnsley is seeking a Pest Control Officer to assess service requests and respond according to council policies. The role involves investigations to identify solutions, preparing quotes, costings and contracts, and developing site and contract monitoring plans.

You will review contracts for ongoing suitability, drive improvements and ensure financial viability while delivering service in a courteous manner to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assess all allocated service requests and respond to all in accordance with latest council, service and legislative policies.
• Conduct investigations to identify a solution in line with the latest council, service and legislative policies.
• Prepare quotes, costings and contracts, demonstrating commercial awareness to ensure the best interests of the council are met.
• Develop all appropriate site, inspection, costing, treatment and contract monitoring plans.
• Conduct contract reviews to ensure continued suitability for purpose, drive continuous improvement and ensure the financial viability of the contract in line with the latest council, service and legislative policies.
• Responsible for ensuring customer contract requirements are met within service and legislative policies and delivered in a positive courteous manner.
• Where necessary, take informal and formal action including the serving of statutory notices, in accordance with approved policy and current legislative framework.
• Keep abreast of local and national developments and provide professional pest control advice to internal and external stakeholders.
