Job summary

NES Group Ltd in Australia seeks an experienced Estimating Manager to lead the estimating function for major projects in resources, energy and infrastructure. You will drive tender strategies, guide cost estimates and coordinate multi-disciplinary bid teams to secure complex contracts.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee high-quality submissions, mentor a high-performing team and contribute to business development across key markets.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in estimating, tendering, proposals or commercial leadership roles.
• Experience in construction, mining, resources, infrastructure, energy, engineering or EPC/EPCM environments.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of project delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the estimating team with mentoring and guidance.
• Oversee preparation and submission of complex tenders and cost estimates.
• Develop bid and tender strategies to maximise success rates.
• Review pricing, risks, assumptions and methodologies.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement and commercial teams during bidding.
• Engage with clients, suppliers and subcontractors throughout bid development.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, compliant tender submissions.
• Drive process improvements across estimating systems and governance.
