Job summary

Teaching Vacancies is seeking a Personalised Learning Centre Co-ordinator - Pastoral Support to lead the PLC, coordinate bespoke support pathways for vulnerable students, and deliver alternative courses and interventions.

You will work with SLT and the Academy Inclusion Team to tailor timetables, liaise with external services, and develop SMART action plans to remove barriers to learning while mentoring students toward further education or employment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school with vulnerable young people.
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in using standard ICT packages.
• Ability to develop programmes of work to build self-esteem and confidence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management of the Personalised Learning Centre (PLC).
• Identify and deliver alternative courses and intervention strategies.
• Provide personalised timetables for individual students and groups.
• Collaborate with SLT and Inclusion Team and external services.
• Develop time-bound action plans with SMART targets.
• Mentor students to remove barriers to learning.
• Undertake necessary student testing (e.g., Lucid).
• Support pupils toward further education, apprenticeships or employment.
