Job summary

Ingeus is hiring to support service users currently serving a prison sentence with personal wellbeing and reintegration activities. You will conduct assessments, develop action plans, and coordinate with partners to deliver practical wellbeing support while maintaining detailed records.

The role requires resilience, safeguarding awareness, and strong relationship-building skills to engage participants and external stakeholders.

Location: HMP Leeds and HMP Wealstun.

You will support a caseload of service users who are currently serving a prison sentence with all aspects of their personal wellbeing.

You will need to be able to juggle multiple individuals at once, ensuring each person gets the support they need, while keeping meticulous records of every interaction.

You'll often be able to plan your own schedule, but you will need to be able to prioritise effectively - it's a challenging role where no day will be the same.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assessments and Action Plans: You will complete personal wellbeing assessments and create tailored action plans for each individual you work with. You will guide individuals as per their action plan, helping them reintegrate through practical well-being activities.
• Collaboration: Your intervention may be part of a wider support package so collaborating with internal and external colleagues is a key part of the role.
• Caseload Management: You'll manage multiple individuals, balancing their needs while keeping up with all the related admin..
• Quality Recording: Keep thorough, up-to-date records of all your work on our IT systems

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

• Relationship Building:You'll beable to connect with participants, probation services and external stakeholders in a waythat'sgenuine, promotes a sense of trust and is non-judgemental.
• Safeguarding awareness:You are supporting complex individuals at a challenging time in their lives and will need to be able to identify any safeguarding risks. You will be fully supported following any challenging interventions.
• IT and Administrative skills:Keeping meticulous records of every interaction to measure client progress and ensure effective interventions.
• Resilience:This role can be challenging, and results may take time, but you are the kind of person who sees things through.

Additional Information

Whilst we welcome applications from those with lived experience, this role requires an enhanced DBS check and HMPPS EL1 vetting. Due to the time required to complete these checks, successful candidates will be offered a start date at least 6 weeks from the point of job offer. This should allow sufficient time for all necessary pre-employment clearances to be obtained
