Job summary

Ingeus is recruiting an In Custody Facilitator to deliver short, impactful courses inside prison settings, supporting participants on their journey toward release. You’ll work with Support Workers and Peer Mentors to provide a comprehensive package of rehabilitation services and build strong, trust-based relationships with individuals.

You'll contribute through group sessions, 1:1 goal setting, and thorough progress recording while navigating a challenging environment.

Qualifications

• Training and facilitation experience required.
• Strong communication, motivation, and listening skills.
• Safeguarding awareness with ability to identify risks.
• Meticulous record-keeping and IT admin skills.

Responsibilities

• Group facilitation delivering sessions to participants.
• Build genuine relationships with participants to support growth.
• Provide 1:1 support and goal setting with accurate progress records.
• Manage caseloads and complete related admin tasks.

This is for the person who understands that rehabilitationisn'tjust about offering advice; it’s about rolling up your sleeves and pro-actively supporting someone on their journey

About the Role:

You’ll work within the prison delivering courses to groups of participants to support them on their journey towards release, they are designed to be short, sharp and impactful so your ability to quickly build positive connections will be an important part of the role. You will work with Support Workers and Peer Mentors to deliver a comprehensive support package during their sentence recall - as a key member of this dedicated team, you’ll help individuals overcome barriers, build confidence, and take meaningful steps toward rehabilitation.

This is a demanding yet deeply rewarding role. You'll be working in a challenging environment with individuals who have complex needs and may be hesitant to engage. However, when you help someone break the cycle and take real steps toward transforming their life, the impact is truly life-changing—for them and for you.

WhatYou'llBe Doing:

• Group FacilitationYou will be delivering sessions to groups of participants on a variety of topics such as goal setting, social interaction and positive decision making.
• Relationship Building:Foster genuine, trusting, and non-judgemental relationships with participants, creating a safe space for personal growth.
• 121 Support:You will also be working 121 with participants setting and reviewing goals while ensuring accurate and timely recording.
• Caseload management:You'llmanage multiple individuals, balancing their needs while keeping up with all the related admin.
• Quality Recording:Keep thorough, up-to-date records of all your work on our IT system, ensuring progress is properly tracked.

What We are Looking For:

• Training/Facilitation experience: You will have the ability and confidence to deliver engaging sessions
• Communication Skills:You’ll have the ability to engage, motivate, persuade, and listen—building strong connections with those you support.
• Safeguarding awareness:You are supporting complex individuals at a challenging time in their lives and will need to be able to identify any safeguarding risks. You will be fully supported following any challenging interventions.
• IT and Administrative skills:Keeping meticulous records of every interaction to measure client progress and ensure effective interventions.
