Think FE is recruiting a Personal Tutor – Construction to join a newly opening specialist SEND college campus in Doncaster. You will deliver hands-on construction training and Functional Skills for learners with SEND, adapting to individual needs in a supportive environment.

You will assess progress, provide feedback and work with staff to promote safe practices while maintaining learner records and learning plans.

Competenze

• A recognised teaching qualification.
• Level 2 qualifications in English and maths (or recognised equivalents).
• Strong practical experience and knowledge within construction.
• Ability to deliver engaging, practical lessons to learners with different abilities.
• A patient, adaptable and supportive approach to teaching.
• Level 3 qualification in Carpentry, Plumbing, Multi-Skills or another relevant construction trade.
• Previous experience teaching or supporting learners with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs.
• Experience delivering Functional Skills.
• Previous teaching experience within further education, specialist colleges or alternative provision.

Salary: £35,447-£43,717 per annum
Contract: Permanent | Full-Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | 52 weeks per year
About the Role Think FE is recruiting a Personal Tutor – Construction to join a newly opening specialist SEND college campus in Doncaster.
This is an opportunity for an experienced construction tutor or lecturer to help young people with special educational needs and disabilities develop practical trade skills, build confidence and prepare for greater independence and employment.
You’ll deliver hands-on construction training alongside elements of Functional Skills, adapting your teaching to meet individual learner needs.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Previous teaching experience within further education, specialist colleges or alternative provision.
