Job summary

The Sheffield College is a large, vibrant further education college and is seeking a Personal Tutor to support students through formal 121s and pastoral interventions, aiming to improve outcomes and positive destinations including UCAS applications.

You will contribute to SHAPE initiatives and focus on students with protected characteristics, delivering targeted support within a term-time schedule of 22.2 hours per week across 40 weeks.

About The Role

Please note that this is a Term Time only role working 22.2 hours (0.6 FTE) a week over 40 weeks.

As a Personal Tutor you will play a pivotal role in supporting our ambitions to provide all students with the best possible experience at the College. This role will help improve outcomes for all academy students through formal 121s and other pastoral interventions, participation and satisfaction rates and maintaining positive destinations of students, including through internal progression and UCAS applications.

As a personal tutor you will be responsible for increasing the breadth of SHAPE (Staying Safe, Health and Well-being, Active Citizenship, Progression and Careers and Equality Matters). You will be required to improve outcomes for all academy students through formal 121s and other pastoral interventions, focussing on those with protected characteristics and in priority groups.

What We Can Offer You

As the successful candidate, you will be offered a salary of between £33,824 - £38,028 per annum (pro rata'd for hours and weeks worked due to role being term time) based upon a combination of the skills, knowledge and experience that you can bring to the role.
