Saffery LLP is seeking an experienced Personal Tax Manager for the Leeds office. The role blends compliance and advisory work with opportunities to work with partners and senior managers on a growing portfolio of private clients, including landed estates and trusts.

The successful candidate will manage a team, review work, and help develop junior staff while meeting deadlines and billing targets. Hybrid working with a strong benefits package is offered.

• Experience managing a portfolio and reviewing junior staff work.
• Strong organisation to meet deadlines and billing targets.
• Ability to develop junior staff on the job.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review the team’s technical work for accuracy.
• Budgeting and time management for allocated clients.
• Meet deadlines and ensure timely billing.
• Liaise with clients on day-to-day tax affairs and planning.
• Support development of junior staff and contribute to firm training.
• Contribute to firm-wide advisory activities and committees.
