Job summary

Saffery LLP is recruiting an experienced Personal Tax Manager in Leeds to work alongside Senior Managers, Directors and Partners, handling both compliance and advisory work.

The Personal Tax team looks after a growing portfolio of individuals, trusts, partnerships and LLPs, with a focus on landed estates and rural businesses. There is an opportunity to support junior staff and participate in firm-wide advisory activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years experience at Manager level and CTA qualified.
• Experience handling private client tax issues.
• Experience organising the delivery of tax work and using your own initiative.
• Experience with computerised tax packages.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical competence and accuracy of the team's work through review.
• Budgeting.
• Adherence to statutory and other deadlines.
• Meeting billing targets.
• Monitoring time and recovery for allocated clients.
• Reporting back to partners.
• Liaising with clients in relation to day-to-day tax affairs and planning issues.
