Job summary

Unity Resourcing Ltd in Leeds is seeking a Personal Tax Manager to join a growing tax team. This role focuses on personal tax compliance and advisory work, managing a varied client portfolio and acting as the main contact for tax matters.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience within a tax-focused role.
• Strong personal tax compliance knowledge.
• Experience of advisory work or a desire to develop in this area.
• Confident communicating with clients and colleagues.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Organised with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients.
• Reviewing and submitting Self Assessment tax returns.
• Handling HMRC compliance work, enquiries and correspondence.
• Identifying and delivering tax planning opportunities.
• Providing advice on income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax matters.
• Supporting clients through a range of personal tax issues.
• Working closely with senior leadership on more complex advisory projects.
• Reviewing work and mentoring junior team members.
• Opportunity to take on people management responsibilities if desired.

The Role

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients
