Personal Care Teaching Assistant - Secondary School
Full time or part time role available (8.30am until 4.30pm)
Wandsworth, South West London

Remedy Education are looking to recruit a teaching assistant for a large Secondary school in Wandsworth that are looking for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 8 with personal care, ASD and challenging behaviour.

This job role entails:

  • Working and caring for children with an educational health care plan
  • Supporting and tailoring the curriculum and activities to support young pupils
  • Working with external agencies, the wider team and the senior leadership team to support the children for the best interest of them
  • Taking personal care of children and young adults

We are looking for:

  • Up to date knowledge on safeguarding and how to keep children safe in Education
  • Level 3 qualification in care, nursery or a teaching assistant qualification
  • Worked in Education provisions for a minimum of 6 months in the UK
  • Able to forward think and plan for activities where the child is not engaged

Supply and agency work is subject to a list of background checks and various hours and contracts apply dependent on experience. You will have to have a full on-boarding and compliance checks to register with Remedy Education, inclusive of references and an Enhanced DBS.
