Job summary

UKCIL Ltd is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant to support a client in Whitley Bay, NE26. The role includes personal care, meals, shopping and medication administration, with Parkinson's as a condition and a wheelchair allocated later.

You will join a small team, provide safe, person-centered support, and help the client access hobbies and the community. Shifts total 37.5 hours per week, with flexible patterns to cover mornings, lunchtimes, teatime and evenings.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting someone with Parkinson's or similar mobility challenges.
• Full UK driving licence (desirable).
• Patience, empathy and ability to work in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing and showering.
• Assist with morning routines and evening settling.
• Prepare meals and support healthy eating.
• Order shopping and medicines.
• Assist with transfers and moving/handling.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Support access to hobbies, community activities and outings.
