Job summary

UKCIL is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant/Support Worker for a young woman in Prudhoe. The role is 14 hours per week, with duties including personal care and community participation to help her stay independent and engaged in activities she loves.

Key requirements include a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. You will support routines, accompany outings, and provide calm, patient assistance in the community and at home.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with complex needs.
• Patient, reliable and trustworthy.
• Clear English communication to support needs.
• Ability to assist with community access and daily living activities.
• Experience or understanding autism, visual impairment, seizures, diabetes management, mobility or memory challenges is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support at home and in the community.
• Assist with meals and personal care.
• Support social and leisure activities.
• Help user remain independent.
• Assist with safeguarding of adults.
• Moving and handling where required.
• Medication administration according to instructions.
• Transport to activities with own car/driver license.
• Maintain hygiene practices (Food Safety, Hand hygiene, First Aid).
• Understand and respond to autism/Asperger needs.
