Job summary

UKCIL Ltd is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a client in Halifax. The role is part-time (up to 18 hours per week) and involves assisting with personal care, medication, transport to appointments, and social activities. You will also help with domestic tasks and flexible duties to ensure safe, consistent care.

Full training and induction support are provided. Applicants should have a driving licence and car with appropriate insurance, be willing to travel, and demonstrate empathy,

Qualifications

• Driving licence required or preferred.
• Car with valid insurance to transport client.
• First aid training preferred.
• Experience with administering medication.
• Ability to build good relationships with client and family.
• Strong communication skills across settings.
• Experience with people with disabilities is beneficial.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond calmly.
• Ability to interpret and implement care plans.
• Empathy, patience and a genuine desire to help are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide social support and accompany client to appointments and activities.
• Support client to access social activities and attend events.
• Assist with personal care tasks and hygiene as needed.
• Support medication administration and ordering as required.
• Assist with household tasks: groceries, cooking, cleaning, laundry and ironing.
• Assist with mobility and daily living activities.
• Be available to perform other duties to maintain safe and consistent care.
