Job summary

Nycil is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support a gentleman with advanced MS, impacting mobility, speech, understanding and behaviours. This role is 16 hours per week with a rotating schedule and a fair weekly hour distribution.

The PA will assist with mobility, daily living tasks, and personal care, with training provided for hoist usage. A DBS check is required and the home includes two small friendly dogs.

Qualifications

• 1 year care experience preferred.
• DBS check required.
• Experience with MS or mobility assistance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate hoist if trained; training provided.

Job description

A Personal Care Assistant is required to care for a gentleman who has advanced MS which impacts his mobility, speech, understanding and behaviours for a minimum of 16 hours per week.

There is a rota in place with alternate week/weekend hours for all staff members which means each PA get a fair weekly hours .

Week 1

Monday: Off

Wednesday: 9am - 10am (1 carer)

Week 2:

Monday off

Wednesday: 9am - 10am (1 carer)

Sunday: Off

The rate of pay is £13.79 per hour

It would be an advantage if the PA has experience using a hoist, however training will be given.

There are 2 small friendly dogs in the home so the PA must like dogs.

A DBS is required for this position.
