Job summary

ENABLE Scotland in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, is seeking Personal Assistants (Support Workers) to make a positive difference in the lives of the people we support. You will help with daily routines, personal care, and activities between 8am and 8pm, 3 days a week, totaling 36 hours.

No two days are the same; you will work with Matthew who enjoys outdoors, parks, cinema, music, and social activities. Experience not required; values and transferrable skills matter.

• No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but you will be supporting someone who requires support to achieve their goals and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support as needed.
• Support the person to expand their social networks and connections.
• Work collaboratively with a bespoke team to ensure safety, wellbeing and aspirations are met.

Let us introduceyou to Matthew l loves being outdoors, going out on his push scooter ( in all weather) and just being as generally active as possible. A typical day could be going to the shops to ensure Matthew has all the essentials he needs, going to local parks and harbours. In his downtime, Matthew enjoys watching movies, listening to music and the radio. Matthew receives support 7 days a week usually between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Sadly, it’s not always possible for Matthew to enjoy what many people would consider these ‘simple pleasures’ without proper, dedicated support.
