Disability North in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a personal assistant to support Paul at home and in the community. The role requires flexibility to fit around 13 hours per week, including some weekends, with a pay rate of £14.50 per hour.

The successful candidate will assist with personal care, meal preparation, shopping, and accompanying Paul to activities and appointments, promoting independence and overall well-being in daily life.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with ASD is essential.

Responsabilités

• Assist with personal care including showering and beard maintenance.
• Provide prompting with clothing selection and dressing.
• Prepare meals and coach Paul to prepare food independently.
• Assist with online shopping orders to promote independence.
• Complete light domestic tasks such as laundry and bed changing.
• Accompany Paul to appointments and outings (e.g., Metro Centre, shops).
• Assist Paul in making appointments and accessing the community.
