A caring individual is sought as a Personal Assistant to support a client with dementia. The role includes weekend work and tasks such as personal care, domestic help, and facilitating community access. Applicants should be patient and respectful, and a driving license is necessary.
The Role
Saturday and Sunday 9am to 1pm. Possibly some additional hours in the week to cover current PA.
PA duties: Encourage and assist where required with personal care, making sure client is wearing clean clothes, support with meals and drinks, general domestic duties, shopping and accessing the community.
PA will need a full clean driving license for this role and have business insurance.
Benefits: Any mileage incurred will be paid directly by client.
DBS check completed by funding authority if you do not already have a certificate.

Relevant client diagnosis: Dementia. Risk of falls.
Client interests: Enjoys going for walks around the local area, loves animals and owns a cat.
Previous care experience desired but not essential. This opportunity is suited for someone who is responsible, reliable, patient, and respectful of others' privacy, dignity, values, and beliefs. You may be a good fit if you are looking to get back into work after caring for a relative or friend.
