Job summary

Arden Project in Glasgow is recruiting Personal Assistants (Support Workers) to work 24 hours per week across shifts (8.30-2.30pm, 12-6pm, 9.30-3.30pm with overnight support).

You will support individuals who require assistance to achieve goals, including personal care, moving and handling, and daily living tasks, helping them live their best life with independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care and daily living tasks.
• Support moving and handling and positive behavioural support.
• Expand social networks and community connections.
• Work with a bespoke team to ensure safety and wellbeing of the person supported.
• Assist with finances, medications and appointments.

She will spend her support times going shopping with staff and loves a wander round and a bargain from the charity shop. B loves cooking with staff and enjoys trying new recipes then enjoying the meal with staff. B loves nothing more than watching Only Fools & Horses having a good laugh with staff reminiscing about the past. B takes pride in her flat and staff support her with daily household tasks. B needs support to manage her finances, medications and attend appointments and enjoys popping for a coffee when out. Her family are important to her and she will talk you through all the photos she has on her walls when you visit her flat. B wishes the staff to encourage and support her to be as independent as she can be.
