We are looking for personal assistant to help a 15 year old female who has CFC syndrome. This means she is button fed and therefore requires someone with this level of training. The family can offer training if you are not at level 3 for gastrostomy care.
Our client can walk indoors but for longer distances uses a wheelchair. She is interested in shopping, especially for toys; swimming; bowling and just getting out. She is double incontinent and can drink orally. Although small for her age she is a bright and energetic young lady who loves to laugh. We are looking for someone to accompany our client out in the community to help her stay independent and enjoy herself.
We would ask that you write a small paragraph about yourself which will allow the family to gain a better idea of why you would like to have this post.
Applicants must have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Having experience within Gastrostomy Care is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
