Job summary

Capability Scotland in Kirkcudbright is seeking a kind, dependable Personal Assistant to help a 96-year-old lady remain living independently at home.

The role covers personal care (including showers), meal preparation, wellbeing support, prompting and administering medication, light housework, and providing trusted companionship. Hours are modest (primarily weekends) with potential for additional hours as needs change.

I am a 96-year-old lady living inKirkcudbright.I used to be alibrarianat Stirling UniversityIenjoyed readingbooks,but my eyesight has declinedunfortunately.I enjoy listening to music and watching television, and I like having friendly company. I am looking for a kind and dependable Personal Assistant to support me to remain living independently in my own home.

Job Role

• Personal care, includingassistancewith showers
• Preparing meals
• Supporting my wellbeing and helping me feel safe and comfortable at home
• Prompting and administering medication
• Light household tasks
• I am looking for someone who can become a trusted and reliable part of my supportteam.

Hours and Pay

• £20.00 per hour (Self-Employed)
• 5 hours per month
• Holiday cover
• There may be opportunities foradditionalhours as my support needs change
• Mainly weekendsto start

Shifts are :

• 8:00am – 9:30am
• 12:00pm – 1:00pm
• 4:00pm – 5:00pm
• 8:00pm – 9:00pm
