Job summary

Capability Scotland - SDS Brokerage supports a client in Castle Douglas who requires two Personal Assistants to help with personal care, meals, and mobility in a home setting. You will join a small, supportive team with flexible hours, including morning and evening visits. PVG membership is required and training can be arranged.

We offer £16.50 per hour when employed by the client, or £17.50 per hour for self-employed applicants. Mileage is paid for travel over 10 miles from Castle Douglas.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual with excellent time-keeping.
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality and handle personal information discreetly.
• Willing to learn new procedures and complete required training.
• Experience supporting adults at home with personal care is desirable.
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and using aids (hoist/stand aid) as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, meals, and support with getting up and going to bed.
• Support daily routines as part of a small home-based team.
• Assist with mobility and transfers using hoist/stand aid when required.
• Support may include occasional holiday cover and travel between locations within the client’s home environment.

Someone to join a small team of personal assistants supporting me at home. I use a wheelchair and need support with personal care, meals, getting up, and going to bed. A hoist and stand aid are used, and training can be arranged if needed.

Hours

Variable Hours
