Job description

Medforce are working with a client who is expanding their residential services and seeking a Person in Charge to join their team in Swinford, Mayo. This key role ensures high-quality support for individuals in line with HSE policies, Department of Health regulations, and HIQA standards.

The Person in Charge (PIC) will preferably have experience with autism and residential service management.

Essential Criteria:

  • 3+ years in health/social care management or supervision
  • Level 7 degree in Applied Social Studies or a related field
  • Level 6 Management qualification
  • Proven experience managing a HIQA-compliant residential service
  • Strong skills in report writing, personal support plans, and roster management
  • Full driving license & access to a vehicle
  • Excellent IT & regulatory knowledge

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Delivery: Lead shifts, provide direct care, and oversee care plans.
  • Training & Development: Support team training and onboarding.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure accurate record-keeping and regulatory adherence.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct audits and drive service improvements.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Foster teamwork and lead the On-Call support system.
