Job description

Job Title: Painter & Decorator at HC-One

In this role, you will undertake painting and decorating duties to ensure the homes are maintained to the highest standards, helping HC-One become the First Choice Care Home in the community. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and homely environment that meets the needs of Residents and Colleagues. Flexibility and responsiveness to the changing needs of the Homes are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Report any illness of an infectious nature or accidents involving Residents, Colleagues, or yourself immediately to the Home Manager or Person in Charge.
2. Implement and adhere to the Care Home's Health and Safety policies, including Emergency and Fire procedures.
3. Carry out general painting and decorating tasks, including making good damage, wallpapering, and painting walls, ceilings, fixtures, and fittings.
4. Ensure all equipment used is clean and well-maintained.
5. Complete mandatory and role-specific training to maintain professional competence.
6. Recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to respond appropriately, including escalation procedures.

Requirements:

• Ability to drive and access to a shared company vehicle, as this is a full-time position covering multiple care homes.
