Job summary

St Simon’s Catholic Primary School in Hazel Grove, Stockport, is seeking a proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work with class teachers and the leadership team. You will deliver high-quality learning across key stages and provide PPA cover when needed.

The role requires HLTA status or an equivalent Level 4+ qualification (or a degree with classroom experience). The post is permanent and 35 hours per week, term-time only, with a pro-rata NJC Scale 5 salary.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or Level 4+ qualification (or a degree with classroom experience).
• Demonstrates good literacy and numeracy and classroom skills.
• Ability to work with diverse learners and support SEND.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons and interventions across key stages.
• Provide PPA cover and cover for short-term teacher absences.
• Support pupils with diverse learning needs in an inclusive environment.
• Assess, track and report pupil progress to support standards.
• Model positive behaviour and support pupils' personal growth.

Education
