Job summary

Educo Recruitment is currently partnering with a school in the Waltham Cross area to recruit a Permanent Teaching Assistant. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils get the most from their education, providing 1:1 and small-group support and creating a positive, engaging learning environment.

We welcome candidates with or without direct school experience who have the right attitude and passion for supporting children's learning.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or related roles is beneficial.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with pupils, teachers and staff.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally in education.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Help children engage with classroom learning and activities.
• Support pupils with their communication, social and independence skills.
• Provide encouragement, reassurance and emotional support to pupils.
• Promote positive behaviour and a calm learning environment.
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff.
• Help pupils build confidence and develop their potential.
• Adapt your approach to meet individual pupil needs.
• Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
