Job summary

Educo Recruitment is currently partnering with a school in the Waltham Cross area to recruit a Permanent Teaching Assistant. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils get the most from their education, providing 1:1 and small-group support and creating a positive, engaging learning environment.

We welcome candidates with or without direct school experience who have the right attitude and passion for supporting children's learning.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or related roles is beneficial.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with pupils, teachers and staff.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally in education.

We are currently working with a welcoming and supportive school in the Waltham Cross area that is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, building positive relationships and helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and learning skills.

The Role

As a Permanent Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils get the most from their education.

You will provide individual and small-group support, assist with classroom activities and help create a positive, safe and engaging learning environment.

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis


• Helping children engage with classroom learning and activities


• Supporting pupils with their communication, social and independence skills


• Providing encouragement, reassurance and emotional support


• Promoting positive behaviour and a calm learning environment

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker, Youth Worker, Nursery Practitioner, Childcare Assistant or within an education or care setting would be beneficial.

Don't have direct school experience? That's not necessarily a problem. We welcome applications from candidates with transferable experience who have the right attitude, patience and passion for supporting children.
