Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates in Godalming is seeking a Nursery Manager for a newly opened flagship nursery. This full-time role requires leadership to develop a high-performing team and ensure EYFS is delivered in line with Ofsted requirements.

You will manage P&L with directors, promote an inclusive environment for children, parents and staff, and benefit from a competitive salary plus a 25% annual bonus, share plan, and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years Practitioner Qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and EYFS.
• Nursery management experience (min 2 years).
• Strong leadership and staff development abilities.
• Ability to build rapport with parents, children and community partners.
• Experience with safeguarding procedures.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and develop team with ongoing support and plans to maintain high performance.
• Ensure the EYFS curriculum is fully implemented.
• Act as the DSL and safeguard all children.
• Manage the nursery P&L with directors' support.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment for children, parents and staff.

Job description

Role: Full-time, Permanent Nursery Manager

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 (dependant on experience)

Location: Godalming

This nursery is newly opened and is looking for an experienced and dedicated nursery manager to develop this unique flagship nursery.This small family run business is aiming to build a new flexible solution, creating a pay as you go childcare solution.

Essential Requirements:

• Level 3 Early Years Practitioner Qualification, full and relevant
• A strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and the EYFS programme
• Nursery management experience (at least 2 years)
• Strong leadership skills, promoting a positive staff culture and the professional development of the team
• Strong ability to build a rapport with parents, children and community partners.
• Experience with safeguarding procedures
• Enhanced DBS on the update service

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit and develop team members, providing ongoing support and plans to ensure the teams high performance.
• Ensure the curriculum is fully implemented in line with EYFS.
• Act as the DSL, ensuring all children are safeguarded and issues are dealt with accordingly.
• Manage the P&L of the nursery with support of the directors.
• Promoting a positive, inclusive environment for children, parents and staff.Fostering strong relationships, where everyone feels valued.
