Job summary

McM Recruitment Solutions are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor based in the Merseyside area. You will manage costs across M&E projects from pre-contract through to final account, prepare valuations, handle variations, procure subcontractors and monitor budgets while liaising with clients and main contractors.

A degree or equivalent experience is required, with strong communication and negotiation skills and a valid UK driving licence;

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within M&E/MEP or building services backgrounds.
• Strong commercial and cost management skills.
• Experience across mechanical and/or electrical packages.
• Relevant qualification (degree or equivalent experience).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Managing costs across M&E projects from pre-contract through to final account.
• Preparing and agreeing valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Procurement and subcontractor management.
• Cost reporting and monitoring project budgets.
• Liaising with clients, main contractors and the internal project team.
• Supporting commercial risk management across a varied project portfolio.
