An established industry player is seeking an experienced live-in housekeeper to join a busy family household. An experienced permanent live in housekeeper is required to start ASAP near Newbury. This is a live in role for someone who has longevity working in a private household as a housekeeper.
This is a busy and varied role for a household, and someone who is extremely flexible and willing is essential. The household is a weekend residence; therefore, it is essential the candidate is happy to work weekends and have two days off during the week. The candidate should also be flexible and happy to work evening shifts if required when the clients are entertaining.
The family are young, with 3 children, so this job will suit someone extremely family-friendly and used to chaos, toys, and children. The family also has dogs, so an animal and country lover is absolutely essential.
Initially, the job will start in a 5-bedroom home and will then transfer to an 11-bedroom home (that is currently being renovated). The housekeeper will work underneath the head housekeeper and must be happy to take guidance and instruction but should also be able to work independently on the head housekeeper's days off. It is important the housekeeper has a happy and easy-going personality, is professional, well-presented, and discreet. They should be able to respect the family's privacy but be confident to interact with the clients when needed.
The housekeeper should be calm and able to work well with last-minute changes and work well in a team. Main duties will include:
During school holidays, the family will be in residence during the week as well as at weekends, so these are busy times.
The candidate must have a car and be able to drive. A work vehicle can be provided for work purposes, but for days off and free time, the candidate will need their own car.
This is a traditional rural estate, and it is important the candidate enjoys rural life and country pursuits.
