Job summary

Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Carpenter to join the Responsive Maintenance Team within the Housing Property and Strategic Projects Division. The role requires City and Guilds Level 2 or NVQ equivalent and carpentry experience, with Welsh language level 2 spoken required for the post.

The position is permanent, full-time (37 hours per week) in Carmarthen, with a salary of £25,949–£26,403 including the Real Living Wage Supplement, and benefits such as

Qualifications

• Qualified to City and Guilds Level 2 or NVQ equivalent with suitable works experience.
• Welsh language level - verbal Level 2; basic conversational Welsh.
• Desirable Carpentry experience in a multi-trade team.

Responsibilities

• Join the Responsive Maintenance Team within the Housing Property and Strategic Projects Division.
• Work to complete jobs to timescales with a customer-focused approach.
• Contribute to multi-skilled carpentry tasks across two depots in Carmarthen area.
