Job summary

Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Carpenter to join the responsive maintenance team. The role involves maintaining and improving 9,300+ council homes, working within a multi-skilled team to deliver high-quality repairs and improvements to schedule.

You will be trained to City and Guilds Level 2 or NVQ equivalent, with desirable carpentry qualifications, and work from depots in Trostre, Llanelli or Johnstown, Carmarthen.

  • Desirable experience and qualifications in Carpentry.

  • Maintain and repair council homes to high standards.

Maintenance Technician - Carpenter

As part of our commitment to maintaining and improving our 9,300+ council homes, we are seeking self-motivated, positive, flexible, and experienced tradespeople with a can-do attitude to join our customer-focused Responsive Maintenance Team within the Housing Property and Strategic Projects Division.

Providing the best quality service is a key part of the role of our multi-skilled workforce, to ensure that jobs are efficiently completed within agreed timescales. These roles encompass our passion for teamwork and customer focused delivery across our entire trade function.

You will be qualified to City and Guilds Level 2 or an NVQ equivalent with suitable works experience.

1 vacant post is available, with desirable experience and qualifications in Carpentry.

Our teams operate from 2 depots, based in Trostre, Llanelli or Johnstown, Carmarthen .
