Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to support our 24/7 operation in Lutterworth. You will deliver palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres nationwide, with occasional night outs.

This is a permanent, full-time driving role emphasizing safe, reliable service and professional customer delivery standards. Starting with 12 months+ HGV Class 1 experience and a valid C+E licence, you’ll report to the Transport team at shift start, conduct daily

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence.
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 experience.
• No more than 6 points on licence; no DD/DR convictions.
• Current DCPC and Tachograph cards.
• Good understanding of Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, most deliveries as backdoor tip.
• Occasional Night out may be required.
• Report delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies promptly to Transport team.
• Complete all paperwork and ensure PODs are signed and returned.
