Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated Computing Teacher for a permanent role at a secondary school near Royston, Hertfordshire. The position offers a stable, long-term career with a pay scale £34,069 - £52,835 per annum, depending on experience.

You will teach KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) and take full responsibilities from curriculum planning to assessments, while guiding students in Python and cybersecurity and contributing to extra-curricular coding clubs.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS or QTLS.
• Proven track record as Computing Teacher or CS specialist in a UK secondary school.
• Clear communication to explain complex concepts.
• DBS Update Service (or willingness to process one via Randstad).

Responsibilities

• Deliver Computing lessons across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE).
• Own curriculum planning, demonstrations, assessments and parent consultations.
• Guide students in Python, cybersecurity, computer systems and digital literacy.
• Maintain a structured classroom and safe equipment handling.
• Develop schemes of work and run coding/robotics clubs.
