Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
• Proven track record of working as a Computing Teacher or Computer Science specialist within a UK secondary school setting.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an accessible manner.
• Effective classroom management strategies grounded in positive encouragement and high expectations.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver Engaging Computing Lessons: plan and deliver Computer Science and IT lessons across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE).
• Take full ownership of curriculum planning, practical coding demonstrations, ongoing student assessments, and parent-teacher consultations.
• Guide students through programming languages (e.g., Python), cybersecurity, computer systems, and digital literacy.
• Maintain a focused, structured classroom dynamic where equipment is respected and pupils feel confident solving technical problems.
• Contribute long-term to refining schemes of work, integrating new technology, and running extra-curricular coding or robotics clubs.
